Elwood “Sonny” Block

Sonny was born in March of 1929 and passed December of 2007.

A Korean War veteran albeit short lived. He joined the Nevada Airguard just after high-school. Where he was a photographer and airplane mechanic. The Air Force called him up in 1951. He was sent to Texas to train as a recon photographer as well as photographing dignitaries of the war effort. He never made it to Korea and was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1952. Going back to the NAG where he continued to work on aircraft and participate on a shooting team they called the "390 boys" Always shooting between 390 and 400, the max score. He had to let the NAG go after a hanger door fell on him and crushed him severely.
