SPONSORING THE FERN 45 Our first year, we were able to donate $1200 and a new laptop to the Nevada Veterans Coalition with around 130 participants. Each year, our event has grown and we have been able to raise more money due to our loyal participants, donations and sponsors. We have not gone backwards in our donation amount thus far. Our most recent event in 2025 brought over 1000 participants and their family and friends, totaling to around 2000 people in attendance throughout the weekend. We were able to present a check to our Nevada Veterans for $140,000, raising our check amount $20,000 from the previous year. We are excited to continue our goal of not going backwards in our donation check! Purchase a Food Truck spot at the Fern45! Food Trucks Hello Sugar PURCHASE FOOD TRUCK SPOT Thank you for your interest to have a spot at our event! Price: $100 for the weekend Please note that SATURDAY 11/8 is the main day of our event and will be very slow with little to no people there during the majority of the day. Basically the crew and volunteers will be at the venue between the hours of 9:00a-1:00p. We have had food trucks leave in the past because of this and then the trucks that stayed have sold out of their inventory and our participants had no food truck to buy from during the main part of our event. PLEASE stay until our participants get back from their ride, we will have a huge raffle and a live band with LOTS of people who will need some food late at night. We are always looking for more help to run this event and keep it goin' smoothly. Learn more about what volunteering entails here. Volunteer Sign-Up Please fill out the form below! Volunteer Form "Put me in coach!" Crew This is for anyone who wants to help with anything! We will let you know what you will be doing closer to the event. Volunteer Form Cardstop Crew Most of the time, the businesses that sponsor the cardstop's will be providing their own volunteers, but sometimes they do not, which is where you come in! Each cardstop will need to be set up Saturday morning no later than 8:00am! You will be out there until 2:30p and will be brought lunch. Please provide your own EZ up, tables and chairs. If you do not have any - please let us know and we will find some for you. Volunteer Form Raffle Crew Please get in touch with us to join this crew! Please fill out the volunteer form as well so we can get your t-shirt size! Volunteer Form Grounds Crew This is our biggest crew and we will need people to help check-in our campers on Friday morning/afternoon and give directions to our participants. They will need to be directed on where they can park their trailers and where the extra parking is. Bonus points for you if you have a ATV/UTV you can use to help direct people. You will either be checking our participants in or helping run shirts for our VIPs. We will have a registration meeting prior to the event to go over how to do this and establish times you will be needed. Registration is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday so we will need people each day helping with that. Blanca will be your Vendor boss and will give you more instructions on what to do : vendors@thefern45.com Volunteer Form Cornhole Pit Crew Our cornhole tourney is on Friday night, we will need pit bosses to record winners and relay to our Cornhole guru. Volunteer Form Wristband Checkers Every person in the vehicle will need a wristband and every vehicle will need a course entry sticker to enter the course. We will need people to sit at the entrance to check bands prior to entering the course. This will be on Saturday and we will assign times for each volunteer so you are not sitting there all day, we will bring you lunch! Course opens at 9:30a and closes at 2:30p. Volunteer Form Merchandise Crew This crew needs to be willing to work in a fast paced environment so lines move quickly and run merch. Merch will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You will be assigned a time to be at merchandise to help. < Back Java & Comrades: Legacy Airbase Silver Springs Airport, 1991 US-50, Silver Springs, NV 89429, USA Jun 28, 2026 Super exciting opportunities for our local Veterans and first-responders during our June Java & Comrades! Legacy Airbase and ourselves have created a beautiful partnership and they have offered us the opportunity for 8 veterans/first-responders to get into a plane and experience a Legacy Flight! Flights will be on Sunday, June 28th at the Silver Springs Airport - arrive as early at 8:00a, be ready for an 8:30a flight briefing, flights will begin 9:00a. All veterans/first-responders are welcome to apply, disability is not a factor with Legacy Airbase's Stearman - they have lifts and ways to get you into that plane if you are wheelchair bound. We are inviting everyone to attend, even if you just want to watch, hang out and see what we are all about. We want to build our Veteran community - we will have coffee, donuts and food for after the flights.
