Marcel Wagner Served from August 1941 to June 1946 Marcel Wagner went through boot camp at the Great lakes Naval Station in Illinois. His first duty station was at the White-hall office of Naval Intelligence in New York City. He was then sent to China and Burma in April of 1943 and served in the Pacific Campaign until being sent back to the States in October of 1945. He completed his service in June of 1946. His intelligence work was classified until and upon completion of his service received no service awards. In 1998 he and several other members of his SACO until had their records unsealed and combat medals were awarded. Previous Next

Blaine Tripp Born on February 10th, 1923. Died July 21, 2014. Served in the US Army in 1942 - 1946 and was part of the 25th infantry division, nicknamed the "Tropical Lightning Division". During WWII he was in the Solomon Islands, New Guinea, and Philippines, where his troop fought to open a pass called Balete Pass. He was hit by a shell at this pass where he was thrown in the air and sustained shrapnel in his leg, knee, shoulder, elbow, and neck. He received many meddles as well as the purple heart for his service. I miss my grandfather very much, he was a wonderful and kind man. Previous Next
